But if you have Slovak Koruna banknotes, you can exchange them for Euro in any commercial bank till the end of this year - till 31.12.2009. After that you can only exchange Slovak Korunas in the Slovak National Bank. Frank, since 1st of July 2009, the Slovak Koruna coins are only exchangeable in the Slovak National Bank. But if you have Slovak Koruna banknotes, you can exchange them for Euro in any commercial bank till the end of this year – till 31.12.2009. After that you can only exchange Slovak Korunas in the Slovak National Bank.

But, I have heard that the Bank of America has usually the best rates for Euro in USA. Check out the exchange rate there and compare it with CSOB's for example: http://www.csob.sk/kurzovy-listok.aspx Also, I would suggest you to contact your bank and ask about the fees for using an ATM in Slovakia.
