We took the train from Bratislava, which took about 6 hours in the summer heat, but we were glad we made it. We stayed at 101 Penzion, which was clean, pleasant, and great value. The staff were lovely and accommodating. We liked it so much we stayed for 2 nights even though we had only booked one. We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Carpe Diem, and enjoyed walking around the town centre. We visited the Synagogue and were given a personal tour, which was amusing because the guide didn't speak English, we don't speak Slovak, and we all spoke only a little German. This is a beautiful corner of the world and I'm so glad I made the long train journey from the capital to see it. I came to visit Presov in July 2009, and had a wonderful time.
