Who are we?

Slovak-Republic.org is an online guide to Slovakia. Its activities and goals can be divided into three stages:

  1. During the first phase we have built a website full of information for tourists or people interested in moving to Slovakia.
  2. The second phase is dedicated to collecting all the necessary offers for tourists. The main focus is on accommodation facilities, however there will be a possibility to register restaurants, tours, attractions, transport and other services tourists may need.
  3. The third phase will focus on the group of people with an interest in moving to Slovakia. We will create a system for classifieds, jobs, properties for rent/buy and other service providers in Slovakia.

Our main goal is to build the largest business directory in Slovakia serving for English users.

How high is our website traffic and why is it growing?

Thanks to a very high quality of our SEO (Search Engine Optimization) we have achieved top positions in search engines such as Google, Yahoo or Bing. Our website traffic is around 30.000 users per month!

By adding more and more content to the website and into the directory, the number of users is constantly growing. Their number is highly influenced also by our cooperation with important websites, including government, university, news or commercial sites and also sites of many international organizations. To mention a few: www.prezident.sk, www.buyusa.gov, www.stuba.sk, www.slovakia.travel, www.vodafone.com.eg, www.oup.com. (Note: Links to Slovak-Republic.org are not placed on the homepages.)

Another important activity we do, is support and help foreigners with entering Slovakia; we solve individual cases (See Responses at the bottom of each page). We experienced that the most needed advice is for visa applications. Therefore, we cooperate with many Slovak embassies.

Who are our users?

Since all the information on Slovak-Republic.org is in English, our users are from all around the world. According to the statistics, they are mainly from UK, USA and Canada, followed by India and Australia.

Most of our users are interested in visiting Slovakia or even to move to the country. The users are highly involved with our website, it can be seen by the number of comments, Facebook fans and Twitter followers.

What we offer and how does it work?

We offer a registration of your accommodation facility in our catalogue for one year. Accommodation will be categorized according to the county, city, region (High Tatras, Liptov, etc.) where it belongs and according to the purpose of stay (UNESCO, spa, skiing, etc.).

There is only one payment per year without any king of increase or additional fee. We do not take commission from reservations made on our web page!

Your direct contacts will be available for the users and the reservations they will make will be also sent immediately to you. All the information about your accommodation facility your presentation will contain will be added by you; included contact details, photos, etc. You can freely add/update/delete data, photos or other information by yourself. In case of any difficulties, our technical support is available for you anytime at support(at)slovak-republic.org.

Why should you register in our directory?

This is not an “everyday” catalogue full of accommodation. Accommodation facilities will be accompanied by a range of restaurants, tourist attractions in the area, other tourist opportunities and thereby the catalogue will contain a complete range of necessary services he/she may need. Don’t be an exception and join the catalogue.

We also provide an opportunity of the most detailed description of the rooms of your accommodation, its building and the surroundings. Very detailed description is available for your services, equipment and other facilities too. In addition to the list of services you can add a variety of comments (e.g. price of parking, spa, etc.). The number of pictures, special offers or discounts you can add to your presentation is unlimited too.

How will your presentation look like?

We will create a one-sided well arranged presentation about your accommodation facility. What will it contain? In the introduction there will be your contact details (phone number, address, email, fax, web page, Skype, Facebook, Twitter), one main photo of your choice about your facility, languages you are able to speak, and the rest of photos via slideshow.

The next section will consist of general information about the rooms, building and its surroundings which will be followed by a price list with special offers or discounts if there are any. Description of services is also divided into rooms, building and surroundings sections. Just next to it there will be a reservation form to complete by a user that will be sent to you immediately after fulfillment. Map showing the exact location of your accommodation facility will be available too.

What are the options of registration?

You can choose out of 3 packages – Bronze, Silver or Gold. So there are 3 types of registration and placing of your accommodation of Slovak-Republic.org. Packages are consistent in their descriptions (the presentations are the same), in the time of publication (1 year) and many other characteristics (see the bar below). The difference is in placing the presentation on the web site. The exact explanation:

If you decided to register your accommodation on Slovak-Republic.org, please fill the form below. After receiving it, the system will create an access (username and temporary password) which allows you to add and edit the information about your accommodation facility in the Slovak-Republic.org’s Accommodation System.

  • Silver – accommodation in catalogue + accommodation in „Top Accommodation“ section
  • Gold – accommodation in catalogue + accommodation on each site of web page (in side bar)

Slovak-Republic.org reserves all the rights to change the conditions according to its need. Slovak-Republic.org reserves the rights to require all legally accessible compensations in case of breaking these conditions.

In the same time, operator of Slovak-Republic.org (further “Slovak-Republic.org” only) reserves all the rights to change or delete the information, pictures, logos, sounds, etc. (further “information” only) published by its clients in catalogue in case that these information are inappropriate, illegal, offending or incorrect. Slovak-Republic.org does not take any responsibility of the content published on these web pages, its usage, possible viruses or other destructive items. These links should only assist the users in finding appropriate information.
  4. Slovak-Republic.org reserves all the rights to modify or suspend the information published on the web page or the web page by itself in case of technical maintenance. Slovak-Republic.org does not take any responsibility for the damages you may suffer as a result of using the accommodation system, for any indirect, punitive, consequential damages (for example: loss of an order, profit or other economical advantages) regardless of the way they appear. You are not entitled to claim against Slovak-Republic.org for lost data, lost profit or other issues related to using the catalogue.
