Slovak Embassies
If applying for visa or you have any other Slovak-related issue out of Slovakia, you should contact a Slovak embassy or consulate. Here below is the complete list with contact details.
Table of Slovak Embassies & Consulates
If the right column says “Belongs to Slovak Embassy in -country-”, it means that there is no Slovak embassy nor consulate in that particular country and citizens of this country should apply for visa at another embassy. A link to the appropriate embassy is always attached.
If the embassy has a website, the link is always attached. If you don’t speak Slovak, you may need to change the language of the embassy’s website (usually in the upper-right corner of the page).

Dear Sir
I am a student consultant from Pakistan and I have got many students who are planning to study in Slovakia. I am aware of the fact that you don’t have an embassy in Pakistan but can you confirm if you have an embassy or consulate in Sri Lanka. As I would like them to apply from Sri Lanka.
And One more thing. What are the requirements for getting the student visa?

Hi. I´m slovakian. I married to albanian from august. I live in Uk, and he is in Albania at the moment, waiting for visa.
I´m pregnant expecting baby in march. I´m going to slovakia in 2 weeks where I will stay for few months. I would love to get visa for my husband and be there, when our baby will born. At the moment my mum took invite letter to police and waiting for it.
I would like to know, what will be our next step, as we just found out, that there is no slovakian embassy in Albania. So would it require him to get visa first to diferent country to manage him to go somewhere to slovakian embassy? Any idea how long it can take us to get visa for him, as we don´t have too much time? He went to slovakian consulat in Tirana, but they couldn´t help him.
Please let me know asap.
Regards
Darina

I indeed appreciate all your response to the enquiry above.
I have an enquiry also.
I am Resident of Banjul, The Gambia where do I go to apply for Slovakia Visa i.e Student Visa e.t.c.
I made to understand that Schengen Countries signed an agreement which enable other Schengen countries to assist with Visa and Consular matter, for instance Austria Embassy in Dakar, Senegal is carrying out the similar function for Slovenia. Where is not so for Slovakia????
I am urgently waiting for your response please.
I have already visited this site and I am not satisfied with the info I got from there.

Further i am interested to know if the above referred visa requirement for the listed countries are also application in its present form to citizens of other countries like Pakistan.
Further i would like to know that for visa i will have to travel to Iran since i m both citizen & resident in Pakistan.
There is an urgency as i have limited time to get the visa so an immediate response is required, please.

Dear Haseeb Ahmed, I doublechecked it and the email should be correct: emb.tehran@mzv.sk as stated on the official page of the embassy here: http://www.tehran.mfa.sk/App/WCM/ZU/TeheranZU/main.nsf?Open
If the email doesn’t work, try to call them: 0098/21/22 411164 or 0098/21/22 424847
And yes, for getting Visa you will have to be physically at the embassy in Iran. Sometimes, in very rare and serious cases (e.g. you can prove that it is impossible for you to visit the embassy) you can get an exception. Try to contact the embassy and ask them.
Hope this helps.

What exactly needs to be stated in the letter and what visa category should i tick on the appilcation form short stay or long stay. Dear sush, we added the information about the invitation letter on the page (see the article above).
Regarding the Visa category… short stay means 90 days and less. It depends how long you are planning to stay in Slovakia.
Regarding the joint application… we are not aware of such possibility, but contact the appropriate emabssy.

and if it takes time for visitor visa then , i wil get hotel booking done and verify it from travel agent. will that be sufficient to get tourist visa . thanks

ahf, your friend should ask the Slovak Foreign Police when about will they send it to the embassy. Then you just contact the embassy. But it would be much easier if your friend sends the invitation letter to you and then you go to the embassy by yourself.
And yes, another option is to book an accommodation in a hotel and show the printed voucher on the embassy.

Hi !
Two employees of my company in Pakistan have been invited to Slovakia for an official training on the products we procure from a company with its warehouse in Slovakia.
Please tell me where and how should we apply for the visa? Can we apply for a Schengen visa in any of the member country’s embassy in Pakistan? for e.g; Can I apply for a Schengen visa via the embassy of Italy or France or Czech in Pakistan? And eventually travel to Slovakia?
What is the role of your embassy in Tehran? Do we have to travel to Tehran first? Then apply for visa to Slovakia from there? or can we can simply get a Schengen visa from Pakistan?
It’s urgent, please explain

Hi Salman, the most of the information about Visa, you’ll find here: http://www.slovak-republic.org/visa-embassies/
To your questions… You could, in fact, apply for Schengen Entry Visa (type C) in any Schengen member state, but you probably would not get the visa as you would not have any reason (prooved with an invitation letter) to travel to that particular country. I would recommend you to apply to Visa on a Slovak embassy where you can easily proove the purpose of your stay.
First, try to contact the embassy in Tehran, they’ll explain you how to proceed. But most likely it will be necessary to go to the embassy in Tehran. Hope this helps…

Dear Sir or Madam;
Here my long story trying to apply for ASCHENGEN VISA via your embassy in eyget -Cairo:
I Left you a comment in this site in september 2009 asking your advice in order to obtain
above mentioned visa so you did ,guided me to contact with your embassy at Cairo.
The first reply I recieved from your embassy there -particulary cosular section
alist of the following visa required documents:
1 photo
application form of a schengen visa
invitaion.
return ticket reservation.
bank statement for the last 6 months.
health isurance.
payment of 60 euro.
Asking the way i could deliver those documents , i was infromed by your cosular section that
I could deliver visa documents by ARAMEX or any carrier service .without to mention
the obligatory to go personally . Any way all the stated above mentioned documents have been
sent to the slovake embassy with cooperation of the sponsor of the tarining OPCW, many
thanks for them for the enire cooppation the really have showed.i addition they send
a note verbal to your embassy in order for the visa process to be facilated.
It is the first time i tried to apply for aschengen visa ,taking this in consederation i did
expected that all the process will takes its time automatically ending
with obtaining the visa even in the last day .Moreover , I Expected if any more advice or
hepl from your embassy regarding this issue.
However even email message about my visa I have not recieved
expect for the above mentioned two email messages.
I really feel disspointed that the end of almost tow months ,of hard working in order
to particpate in the training cousre, becomes impossible for no reason but the visa only.
Thank you very much and i am sorry if i made it so long but
i believe with your well understanding and consederation of my situation. Thank you again
Best regards
Majed H.M.Thabet.

Dear Sushil,
you can prepare the wedding from UK as well if you have family or friends who will help you. 2 weeks will be enough. You will get your permanent residency straightaway, after 5 years of marriage and an exam from Slovak language you will get citizenship. UK is not in Shengen Area, so you will need visa to enter UK. When you will have Slovak citizenship, you will be able to go there without any visa. And thanks for your nice comment:-)

Hello, I have a valid schengen visa and am going to Bratislava in around a week,
I don’t understand the part on the embassy website where it says I’ll have to report about the duration and location of stay within 3 working days,
My length of stay in the Schengen Area is 10 days, predetermined by my plane ticket,
however, throughout my trip to Europe, I’ll be staying in Bratislava for 2 days, Prague for 2 days, Amsterdam for 2 days, Madrid for a day or two, go back to prague and then spend one last day in Bratislava before exit,
Obviously, the timing might force me to skip/modify my itenerary to come to Bratislava to catch my plane,
My trip description is generally touring across Europe with more or less equal timing for most countries, I was adviced to go to the embassy of my point of entry and exit,
Will the issue take care of itself, and the Hotels/Hostels I’m in report my location?

Carlos, as far as we know there is no such thing as changing US driving licence to Slovak one. You can only apply for an international driving licence.

I came to this website looking for a Slovakian Embassy in UAE and I just want to say that I really like and appreciate this idea of allowing visitors to leave comments and getting helpful answers. Keep up the good work! I wish other embassies would follow your example….

Why is it that somebody from Cameroon who has been granted admisson for a masters program in one of the most renoun university in Slovakia, can`t be given a chance by the slovakian consul in Abuja Nigeria to depossit his documents for a student visa, despite the fact that the university have collected 4000 Euro from the student for tuition fee.
Any answer?

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Chinese and now living in Dubai, UAE.
I am invited to participate an Esperanto seminar in Modra-Harmónia (http://ikso.net/kaest/) in your country, but there isn’t consulate in Dubai.
Could you advise me if I have to go to Cairo for visa, or if I can apply it by courier service?
I need your feedback to make quick decision. Thanks for your prompt response.
Plejamike salutas, Most friendly regards.

Dear Zhang,
if you are Chinese with Chinese passport, I would say, you should contact the Slovak Embassy in China. But try to call Cairo, maybe they can give you the Slovak visa for your company.

Dear Sir,
2011 WINTER DEAFLYMPICS
Announcement from Deaflympic Secretariate: Frederick MD, USA—The 2011 Winter Deaflympics in Slovakia
will proceed as scheduled, these games, headquartered in Vysoké Tatry, Slovakia, to be
held during 18-26 February 2011.
As being a Full Member to International Committee for Sports for the Deaf we
have been invited to attend these games and Congress meetings. we wonder how to obtain visa for your
country as there is no list of your embassy in Pakistan, it would be very difficult for
us as being Deaf/Disabled to obtain another country’s visa then reach there and apply for
your country’s visa as time is very short now.
An early reply solving this problem should be highly appreciated.
